Digestive system

Digestive system is responsible for assimilation of nutritional substances from food. Its harmonic work depends on many organs cooperation, not only those that make the digestive system (mouth, gullet, stomach, duodenum, intestines, liver, pancreas).

For the proper functioning of the system, good blood circulation, hormonal state, nervous system function and even undisturbed electrolyte management are also crucial! All our organs are indirectly connected with each other. The intestinal tract is a gateway to the health of the whole organism, which is able to give it back positive condition and support. Intestinal disorders may be the result of an unhealthy diet, but also indicate a disorder of other organs or even contribute to this condition. Below we present 7 simple steps for the health of the digestive system.

1) Physical activity. Regular exercises stimulate intestinal movements and this has a significant impact on the regularity of emptying. Just 30 minutes of daily fast walking will help the digestive system!

2) Fitter means healtier. The fit people’s digestive system works better and maybe that’s why they are fit. Anyway, the reduction of excess weight is recommended for anyone who complains about food problems.

3) Take care of healthy liver. The liver is responsible for the production of almost all proteins important for the body, the metabolism of fats and sugars, and is also the main place where detoxification takes place. Natural ingredients such as turmeric, garlic, rosemary or artichoke leaf are ideal support for it.

4) More fibre and more water. 2 litres of water a day should be standard. The diet should also include at least 25 g of fibre. Remember that during supplementation we take fibre together with an increased amount of water!

5) Chew your food carefully and take care of your mouth hygiene. Every bite matters! It is necessary to mix the food with the saliva and to grind the food properly. Remember also about oral hygiene. Bacteria that accumulate in mouth can not only damage the enamel and cause caries, but also cause chronic inflammation, which results in disorders of even distant organs (e.g. the cardiovascular system!).

6) Take care of the daily portion of vitamins and minerals. Choosing the optimal diet on your own can be difficult. 7) The bacterial flora is essential. With a diet rich in harmful products, fried foods, trans fats, excess meat in our intestines, other bacteria appear than those with which we have lived for tens or even hundreds of thousands of years. This condition is called dysbiosis, i.e. disorder of the composition of intestinal flora and it affects the health of practically every organ and tissue, not only in the digestive system.
