Vitamins and minerals

We need vitamins and minerals regardless of age. From an early age we need them for the proper growth and development of our body. We need them in order to function properly, to strengthen our resistance, to protect us from adverse environmental influences and stress. In mature age, vitamins and minerals are necessary for us to prolong our well-being, maintain good health and vitality.

The human body can produce only a small amount of vitamins (some of which it can’t produce at all) and therefore they have to be supplied with food. Vitamins act as biological catalysts and are part of many enzymes, providing biochemical changes - without them it would take many years to consume a meal. The demand for vitamins depends on gender, age, lifestyle, health and diet. People on a meatless diet, vegetarians, athletes, people with extremely intensive lifestyles, pregnant and breastfeeding women, the elderly, etc. may be at risk of missing certain vitamins.

All vitamins should be supplied to the body with food, but we know that in practice (taking into consideration the food processing) this is impossible.
